I did a shoot yesterday…I had forgotten how long fashion shoots take, but I think the results are completely worth it (I don’t actually know, I haven’t developed the film yet…). Anyways, I explored a little while I was waiting for makeup to be done, there was some very bizarre graffiti…it made me lol.

No photoshop (I never photoshop). Film pictures to come…and while you wait on those, listen to this!

Went with my darling younger brother on a trip to Staten Island to check out an abandoned hospital. It was realllly covered in graffiti, but at least it was really structurally sound…

Film Shots from May 1st

I haven’t finished shooting the last roll of film from this shoot, so this post will be edited once I get them developed and scanned.

Film looks so much better than digital…The first three pictures were taken with expired Fuji Velvia 50, that may be the most beautiful color film I’ve ever worked with. It’s insanely smooth-grained and the colors can’t be beat.

Crazy House

I took a little trip to Connecticut with my lover to photograph a very bizarre house…it looked like it was out of a movie set or something. The place reminded me a little of A Clockwork Orange, a little of The Shining, and a little of every house in an 80′s “Good Housekeeping” magazine. Jody brought a bunch of random stuff with her and we ended up spending most of our time goofing off in the kids’ playroom.

Rainy Day In The Woods

It was awfully cold and rainy during the shoot this past Saturday, even though the day before and the day after were quite pleasant and sunny…I wish I’d had more time to shoot, but I’ll just have to schedule for another time when the weather is a bit less bitter.

I was a bit disappointed with the Ilford SFX…it didn’t look quite the way I was hoping it would…I even added a deep red lens filter this time. Oh well.
